The overnight protest started yesterday evening in Kirribilli by Australian Tamils continues. More than 500 protesters are still staging sit-ins near the Sydney residences of the Prime Minister.
Many are with their families, including children spent the night on the streets. They have vowed to remain there until the Australian Government takes some action on their demands. Their main demand to the Australian Government is to push for an immediate and permanentMeantime the venue of the hunger strike that started on Saturday by three youth also was changed to Kirribilli. The three youth also said they will continue the hunger strike until their demands are met.
The Police have reported it as a peaceful demonstration except for an incident this morning when a man tried to carry an anti-Tamil Tiger sign into the protest. Police have said they have no intention at the moment to forcibly remove them.

They seem to be in bed with the state terrorist, the GOSL.
The Charge is genocide and we wud like to remind
the Aust. Govt. the the Mexico Govt. will usurb the provisions of
R2P at the next Security Council meeting and they don't do
it unless they have evidence.
Australia!!! plse wake up

Killing innocent people with impunity and utter disregard and disrespect for human life is a shameless act of GOSL. Killing 200000 innocent civilians to destroy the LTTE separatists who may be hiding among them is an atrocious and insane argument. By condoning it the International community has lost its own moral compass. Would Britain have solved the IRA problem in Northern Ireland by razing down the civilian Irish among whom the IRA cadres were residing? Or for that matter can the separatist problems in Southern Thailand, Philippines, Kashmir be solved in similar fashion?
I hope the Austyralian government will find the moral compass to break its silence and ask for a ceasefire.
